Question?

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?”

Jeremiah 32:27

Did you notice this is a question, not just a statement? Who’s asking? God is. He wants to know. Yes, God wants to know if you believe that. He’s asking you. Don’t just mumble out your yes because you think it’s what you’re supposed to say or because you pretty much mean it. Do you REALLY have faith that He can do it all? Is there any challenge, confusion, pain, fear, anger, grief, danger, need, or sin that is too hard for Him to handle? Notice He doesn’t first ask and then remind you who He is. He begins…”Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh.” “Behold” Me. Look at Me, see My nature, feel My love. This takes pause, reflection, drinking in His holiness with reverence. The thing about reverence is it can take up your time, your energy, your plans, your heart. It’s kinda sneaky. You’re feeling generous and decide to invite it over for a cup of coffee. The next thing you know, reverence is staying for dinner. Then, it’s spending the night. Suddenly, you’re having these deep talks, holding hands, and filled with longing. It’s intense. It’s wonderful. Finally, your eyes meet and it hits you… you’re in love! With Him, with Jesus. So, He wants to know. “Is there anything too hard for Me, my love?”

  1. Wow.

  2. Wow indeed! What a great question. Do we really believe that nothing is too hard for our Lord? We certainly should. He has shown it time and time again. There is nothing too hard for our Lord.

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” John 20:27

I have certainly had my doubts through the years, but I have stopped doubting and I believe. Melody, thank you for helping me to stop doubting and showing me how to believe. Thank you.
